Eve Health Group (ASX:EVE) has initiated a pilot pharmacokinetic clinical study to evaluate its 10 mg Libbo vardenafil oral soluble film for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

The newly confirmed trial protocol is designed to compare the performance of this oral soluble film formulation against an existing Australian-registered reference vardenafil tablet.

The clinical trial will be conducted under strict fasted-state conditions utilising a cohort of healthy male subjects.

The company stated that the results from this preliminary evaluation are intended to directly inform the design of a subsequent pivotal bioequivalence study.

Following the announcement, the Eve Health Group share price was unchanged at $0.01.

The corporate strategy relies heavily on developing alternative drug delivery mechanisms to gain market share within the competitive consumer health and wellness sector.
