  • Emyria finalised setup and staffing for its first New South Wales mental health site scheduled to open this September.
  • Shares traded flat following the operational milestone announcement.
  • The expansion into Sydney establishes clinical capacity in Australia's largest population centre.

Mental health care provider Emyria (ASX:EMD) completed key operational milestones to open its first Sydney clinic in September, marking its debut expansion into New South Wales.

The new site establishes the company's clinical presence in Australia's largest state population market following existing operations in Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia.

Executive Chairman Greg Hutchinson commented, “Sydney represents an important expansion of Emyria’s national footprint and provides the company with a presence in Australia’s largest population market.”

The four-treatment-room facility includes a local team of approximately 20 trained therapists and four psychiatrists to support initial patient demand.

Emyria stated that two Sydney psychiatrists received Therapeutic Goods Administration Authorised Prescriber endorsement alongside active medication supply agreements.

Following the announcement, the Emyria share price was unchanged at $0.046.

The company stated that patients approved through workers' compensation pathways are expected to begin receiving care shortly after opening.
