- The multi-year agreement opens a streamlined pathway for US agencies to order counter-drone tech.
DroneShield (ASX:DRO) secured a three-year US$500 million procurement vehicle with the US Joint Interagency Task Force 401 to supply counter-drone systems.
The framework establishes a direct contracting vehicle for future task orders, expanding on the company's recent US$24.9 million agreement with the agency.
“Securing a contract with this significant procurement vehicle in the United States reflects the strength of DroneShield’s technology and our role as part of a multi-layered counter-drone solution,” said DroneShield CEO Angus Bean.
While the agreement establishes a US$500 million ceiling, it does not guarantee specific order volumes or immediate revenues.
Following the announcement, the DroneShield share price was up at $1.77.
