DroneShield H1 profit surges 367% amid governance overhaul

Share

Counter-drone leader DroneShield (ASX:DRO) has delivered its full-year result, headlined by a 367% surge in statutory profit to $3.5 million.

Bolstered by a global increase in defence spending, revenue skyrocketed 276% to $216.5 million, while the company's forward-looking sales pipeline expanded by 92% to a staggering $2.3 billion across 300 distinct opportunities.

Amidst the financial windfall, the board has moved to restore investor confidence following last year's governance concerns.

In the wake of a controversial executive share sell-off that triggered a sharp market decline, DroneShield has mandated a minimum shareholding policy.

Under the new rules, the CEO is required to hold shares equivalent to 200% of their annual salary, while directors must maintain holdings equal to their annual base fees, ensuring leadership remains firmly aligned with long-term shareholder interests.

The new disclosure and trading policies represent a significant pivot toward institutional-grade governance.

By tying executive wealth directly to company performance, the board aims to neutralise the volatility seen in late 2025 and solidify its position as a transparent, high-growth player in the defence tech sector.

At the time of reporting, DroneShield's share price was $3.17.
