  • Bathla Group’s voluntary administration has been extended until Sept. 13, 2027, by the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
  • The timeline extension aims to give administrators room to secure funding and finish active housing builds.
  • Teneo is continuing discussions with lenders to secure essential ongoing cash reserves for central operations.

The Supreme Court of New South Wales extended Bathla Group's voluntary administration until Sept. 13, 2027.

The decision grants administrator Teneo Australia extra time to secure critical funding and progress active construction builds.

“The extension gives us the time needed to progress projects towards completion, but that outcome remains dependent on securing further lender support to maintain critical central functions at Bathla,” said Teneo Head of Financial Advisory Stephen Longley.

Teneo previously secured short-term capital from five lenders on Sept. 7, though 213 employees were stood down and several sites were suspended.

Bathla Group originally entered voluntary administration on Aug. 25 after struggling under rising operational pressures.

The collapse left hundreds of home buyers facing immediate uncertainty regarding unfinished residential developments across Sydney.
