Coast Entertainment posts $6.1M FY26 profit

Coast Entertainment (ASX:CEH) reported a net profit after tax of $6.1 million for the 53-week financial year ended June 30.

The result marked a return to net profitability compared to the net loss of $0.1 million reported in the previous 52-week financial year.

Strong theme park & attractions performance despite ongoing macroeconomic headwinds, with ticket sales up 33% and total visits of 2 million, up 29.3%.

"The board is also delighted to have achieved planning approval for the group’s Coomera landholdings," stated Coast Entertainment Chairman Dr Gary Weiss.

Operating revenue reached $116.5 million, representing a 20.8% increase from the prior corresponding period.

The business recorded consolidated EBITDA excluding specific items of $13.8 million, alongside a cash balance of $35 million as of June 30.

Following the announcement, the Coast Entertainment share price was down at $0.52.

The company operates major Australian tourist assets, including the Dreamworld theme park and SkyPoint observation deck on the Gold Coast.

Management previously commissioned independent valuations showing fair values of $295.9 million for Dreamworld and $51.5 million.
