Charger Metals (ASX:CHR) has restarted diamond drilling at the Medcalf Lithium Deposit within its Lake Johnston Project in Western Australia.

This campaign follows an updated mineral resource estimate from July 2026, which expanded the deposit by 34% to 10.6 million tonnes grading 1.0% lithium oxide.

The current drilling programme will target extensions to the known spodumene-bearing pegmatites at depth and along strike.

The company stated that the project benefits from close proximity to existing transport infrastructure and four nearby operating spodumene concentrators.

Following the announcement, the Charger Metals share price was unchanged at $0.071.

Charger Metals retained 100% ownership of the Lake Johnston Lithium Project after terminating a prior farm-in agreement with Rio Tinto Exploration.

The company also recently divested its non-core Bynoe Lithium Project to Core Lithium for $3.8 million in cash to fund ongoing exploration at Lake Johnston.
