Democrat Voters Looking For a 'Fighter,' Says Third Way Survey

Jim Kessler, executive vice president for policy at the center left think tank Third Way, said that new data shows that on the whole Democratic primary voters are more moderate than how they are portrayed in the media. Kessler said that Democrats are primarily concerned about electability heading into the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential elections, and want a candidate that is a 'fighter' for reform.

'Not Clear' US Can Achieve Iran War Objectives, Says Former Ambassador

Former US Ambassador Daniel Fried said there's at least a chance that US-Iran talks could bring an end to the war with Iran, but it's not at all clear that the US can achieve its original objectives, including regime change in Tehran. Fried also discussed the role of European allies in the conflict, saying that the statement put forward by the UK and other nations on the Strait of Hormuz could signal the beginning of a coalition.
