AI Presents 'Unique Risks' Warns Former IRS Chief

Daniel Werfel, former Commissioner of the US Internal Revenue Service, joined Caroline Hepker and Lizzy Burden on Bloomberg Radio as the UK's tax authority undertakes a major digital overhaul. HMRC is aiming to move most customer interactions online by 2030, while updating legacy systems and exploring the use of AI. Werfel, now with Public Digital, which is advising HMRC, discussed the challenges of delivering large-scale government transformation, as well as concerns around AI, data protection and the security of sensitive public sector systems.

Kpler Sees Brent as High as $125 If Blockade Continues

Homayoun Falakshahi, head of crude oil analysis at Kpler, discusses energy markets as investors focus on the next step for peace talks between the US and Iran. He tells Bloomberg Television that should the US manage to sustain its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz for another two months, "Iran's oil revenues will drop to zero." Falakshahi also warns that should the waterway remain closed for another two months, prices for oil could go back to "roughly 120, 125 [dollars a barrel] for Brent."

Deutsche Bank CFO Says Trading Started 'Constructively' in April
