- The acquisition secures localised supply for the company's flagship Ema Rare Earth Project in Brazil.
- The move aims to lower reliance on Chinese supply chains while supporting sustainable in-situ recovery operations.
Brazilian Critical Minerals (ASX:BCM) has executed a binding agreement to acquire a 90% stake in producer Sais Nordeste Indústria e Comércio.
The deal establishes local supply of magnesium sulphate, which serves as the primary leaching reagent for the Ema Rare Earth Project.
The initial plant capacity will supply roughly 50% of the project's requirements, with potential to scale beyond total forecast demand.
Brazilian Critical Minerals stated that it will fund the restructuring of legacy liabilities to bring the facility back to full commercial operations.
Following the announcement, the Brazilian Critical Minerals share price was unchanged at $0.065.
The acquisition reduces direct exposure to foreign reagent supply chains and strengthens operational control over raw materials.
The company continues to advance development at its Brazilian assets to support rare earth refining outside China.
