- The exploration campaign aims to test previously undrilled gold-in-soil anomalies spanning over 6km.
BPM Minerals (ASX:BPM) secured key ministerial and regulatory approvals to begin a maiden 10,000-metre reverse circulation drilling programme at the Bonnie & Clyde prospect in Western Australia.
The newly approved exploration follows historical auger sampling and a recently completed 50m x 50m ultrafine fraction soil sampling programme.
BPM CEO Oliver Judd stated, "We're delighted to finally receive the final approval, allowing us to commence drilling at Bonnie & Clyde over the coming 5-10 days, at one of Australia's most compelling, untested gold exploration targets."
The 70-hole programme will test a gold-in-soil anomaly stretching over 6km that has never been tested by drilling.
BPM Minerals stated that site preparations are underway and drilling is expected to start within 5 to 10 days.
Following the announcement the BPM Minerals share price was down at $0.22.
The approval process required ministerial consent to explore the use and benefit of Aboriginal Inhabitants Reserve 40329.
The exploration team currently has a drill rig active at the nearby Beachcomber prospect.
