Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) has commenced a 3,500-metre aircore drilling programme at its Nuckulla Hill prospect in South Australia to test new gold targets along the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone.
The programme focuses on a shear zone that also hosts the neighbouring 1.6-million-ounce Tunkillia Gold Project owned by Barton Gold (ASX:BGD).
Field activities for the current aircore campaign are projected to take between 7 and 10 days to complete, with initial assay results anticipated by mid-to-late October.
Following completion of the aircore campaign, reverse circulation drilling is scheduled to begin to undertake infill and extensional work at the Sheoak, Sheoak East, and Bimba targets.
Following the announcement the Auravelle Metals share price was unchanged at $0.0080.
The South Australian explorer was previously known as Sipa Resources before undertaking a corporate rebranding to shift primary focus towards gold discovery.
The broader project portfolio includes additional precious and base metal tenements across South Australia and Western Australia, such as the Skye and Crown projects.
