Video technology innovator Atomos (ASX:AMS) fortified its capital structure, announcing a new $10 million three-year business finance facility with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA).
The strategic pivot not only injects fresh liquidity into the firm but is accompanied by a substantial 7% reduction in existing loan pricing, slashed from 20% to 13%.
The repricing is projected to deliver approximately $700,000 in annual interest savings, providing the company with newfound financial breathing room as it pursues its next growth phase.
The new CBA facility, carrying an all-in funding cost of roughly 10.35%, is earmarked for critical operational scaling, including inventory procurement, R&D for upcoming product cycles, and potential mergers and acquisitions.
While management acknowledged that the cost of capital could pressure margins if development spending doesn't yield timely EBITDA gains, the move underscores a transition towards more traditional, lower-cost institutional lending.
Coinciding with the funding news, Atomos reaffirmed its FY26 guidance, projecting revenue to surpass $47.5 million with EBITDA exceeding $3.8 million.
The confidence follows a robust first half where the company achieved two consecutive quarters of positive EBITDA—a notable turnaround despite a modest $1.5 million operating cash outflow driven by inventory investments.
