Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) expanded its Samphire Project uranium resource by 67% and secured a new lease acquisition option.

The project's resource increased from 18 million pounds to 30 million pounds of uranium oxide after adding the Plumbush deposit.

Alligator will pay an initial $500,000 for the option, requiring an additional $6.8 million if exercised within 18 months.

The company planned a drilling programme for the remainder of 2026 to update its resource estimate by early 2027.

The company stated that the transaction provides immediate access rights to undertake exploration activities across previously inaccessible ground.

This newly accessible area includes the southern strike extension of the Blackbush mineralisation.
