The company said more than 2,000 customer accounts started using its coding assistant called CoCo during the quarter, bringing the total to 9,100. - Meta (META) shares are higher as the social media giant released its most powerful artificial intelligence model yet. Meanwhile, other technology and growth stocks also advanced as oil prices and Treasury yields are showing signs of stabilization.

Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said his next decision on interest rates will be "heavily influenced" by August inflation data due next week. Waller says if inflation comes in hot, he'd consider a rate hike. Waller said this in remarks prepared for an event hosted by Reuters. Bloomberg's Michael McKee reports.
