Apple unveiled the company's first foldable smartphone during a wide-ranging event Wednesday, betting that a new category can energize growth for its biggest-selling lineup. The iPhone Duo will start at $1,999 and cost up to $3,199. This was the first product reveal event for the new CEO John Ternus. European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde discusses the ECB's reaction function and future rate path. She also answers a question about about her future as head of the ECB. "When there is something to report about me, personally, you'll be the first one to know after my grandchildren," Lagarde tells Bloomberg's Mark Schroers at a news conference in Berlin.

Ashwini Kumar Tewari, managing director at the State Bank of India says that corporate spending on new-age industries such as data centers is emerging as a key driver. Tewari speaks exclusively with Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin.

The US producer price index for August rose 0.4% from the prior month and 5.4% from a year earlier. Initial jobless claims fell by 1,000 to 206,000 for the week ending September 5. Bloomberg's Michael McKee reports.

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde says the euro-zone economy is "resilient" despite "headwinds" caused by the energy shock. "Growth will increasingly be bolstered by business and housing investment," Lagarde tells reporters. "Export growth should benefit from rising foreign demand, but is being held back by competitiveness," she adds. Lagarde speaks at news conference in Berlin after policymakers voted to increase the deposit rate by a quarter-point to 2.5%, the second increase since the start of the US-Iran war.
