Warner Bros. Discovery announces Dr. John C. Malone’s transition to chair emeritus

Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ:WBD), has announced that Dr. John C. Malone will be stepping down from his position on the company's board of directors and transitioning to the role of Chair Emeritus at the 2025 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

This decision comes after Dr. Malone opted not to stand for re-election, marking a new chapter in his distinguished tenure with the company.

As Chair Emeritus, Dr. Malone will continue to attend board meetings and provide valuable strategic counsel and support to the management team.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Discovery intends to nominate Anton Levy for election by stockholders at the upcoming Annual Meeting.

With Dr. Malone’s transition and Mr. Levy’s nomination, the board will maintain its strength, comprising 13 directors, 12 of whom will be independent following the meeting.
