Tivan (ASX:TVN) has commenced its maiden diamond drilling program at its high-grade lead-silver target in Aileron, part of the Sandover AI Project in the Northern Territory.
This follows the execution of a Land Access & Compensation Agreement with Aileron Station, facilitating site access and exploration activities.
The drilling program, led by Tivan's exploration partner EARTH AI, aims to assess the potential for a polymetallic mineral deposit.
Surface sampling previously confirmed high-grade lead mineralisation up to 23.8% Pb and silver up to 469 g/t Ag over defined zones.
Tivan has already secured regulatory approvals and is coordinating with the NT Government and Central Land Council, representing Traditional Owners.
The initial drilling phase is expected to conclude within two months, followed by a geophysics program scheduled for April.
The project aligns with the potential development of a Regional Logistics Hub, supported by Federal funding, to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs for the Sandover AI and Sandover Fluorite Projects.
"We are pleased to commence Tivan's first maiden drilling campaign with the unified support of all stakeholders," stated Grant Wilson, Executive Chairman of Tivan.
"Tivan is determined to build the first successful mining project near Alice Springs in over a century."
At the time of reporting, Tivan's share price was $0.11.
