The XRPL Foundation has appointed Brett Mollin as Executive Director as the XRP Ledger enters what supporters describe as a pivotal phase of governance and infrastructure expansion.
The leadership change is positioned as a step toward reinforcing long-term resilience, scalability and institutional participation across the XRP ecosystem.
“The XRP Ledger has reached a stage where long-term stewardship of the network is critical,”
Mollin said, adding:
“My focus is ensuring the ledger remains resilient, scalable, and well-governed while supporting the developers, infrastructure operators, and businesses building on it, so the ecosystem continues to grow on a strong and stable foundation for decades to come.”
Mollin brings more than 11 years of experience building on the XRP Ledger and most recently served as Technical Director at Ripple, where he worked with developers and institutional partners launching projects on the network.
In his new role, he will prioritise audit-ready infrastructure practices, scalability upgrades and resilience planning to manage transaction surges, while broadening participation among validators and businesses.
Ripple Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa Reece Merrick endorsed the appointment, stating that Mollin combines deep technical expertise with a “genuine vision for XRP’s future.”
The XRPL Foundation, established in 2020 as an independent nonprofit entity, said the move underscores its commitment to decentralisation, transparency and long-term ecosystem growth as adoption efforts expand globally.
At the time of reporting, XRP price was $1.37.
