Crypto.com donated $1 million to the youth nonprofit After-School All-Stars during an on-ice ceremony at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on March 2.
The announcement took place during an NHL game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Colorado Avalanche and featured After-School All-Stars founder Arnold Schwarzenegger and LA Kings President Luc Robitaille.
“I founded After-School All-Stars because every kid deserves a real chance to succeed, no excuses,”
Said After-School All-Stars founder, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The donation will support the organisation’s national network, which provides free after-school programmes and summer camps designed to improve academic achievement and leadership development.
After-School All-Stars currently serves nearly 150,000 students each year through 18 regional chapters operating across about 80 cities in the United States.
Schwarzenegger said partnerships with organisations such as Crypto.com help expand mentorship and opportunity programmes for young people in underserved communities.
The funding aims to broaden access to educational and development programmes while strengthening community support networks for students nationwide.
