Defense Tech Gets Less Than 1% of Pentagon Spending

Pentagon spending on defense tech from startups has more than doubled, from about $1.8 billion in Fiscal Year 2023 to $4.3 billion for Fiscal Year 2025, but still makes up less than 1% of total contract dollars.
