ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (NASDAQ:IMOS), a provider of semiconductor assembly and testing services, reported on April 10, 2026, that consolidated net revenue for the first quarter of 2026 rose 25.4% year-over-year.
The results highlight an accelerating demand for high-value memory and specialized testing services required for the global build-out of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
For the first quarter ended March 31, 2026, the company achieved unaudited revenue of NT$6,935.6 million (US$216.4 million).
In addition to the double-digit annual growth, the company posted a 6.4% sequential increase over the fourth quarter of 2025—a notable performance given that the first quarter is typically characterized by a seasonal slowdown in the broader electronics sector.
The quarter concluded with a powerful monthly performance in March, with revenue reaching NT$2,501.6 million (US$78.1 million).
This represented a 23.1% increase over March 2025 and a sharp 16.7% jump from February 2026 levels.
Management attributed the robust top-line growth to a persistent supply-demand imbalance within the AI sector.
The rapid deployment of large-scale language models and agentic AI systems has triggered an intense requirement for high-density DRAM and NAND flash memory optimized for data centers.
As a critical partner in the back-end semiconductor supply chain, ChipMOS has seen high utilization rates across its testing and assembly platforms for these high-value components.
Beyond memory, ChipMOS has also benefited from the stabilization of the display driver IC (DDIC) market, where increasing adoption of OLED panels in mid-range smartphones and automotive displays has bolstered its assembly volumes.
