The Environmental Group (ASX:EGL) achieved a commercial milestone following the announcement that its subsidiary, total air pollution control, has been awarded a major contract valued at approximately $9 million.
The agreement, signed with Ozango Minerais—a subsidiary of Pensana—tasks TAPC with the design and supply of an advanced off-gas scrubbing system for the Longonjo Rare Earth Refinery Project in Angola.
The project is widely regarded as a vital development in the global supply chain, providing the essential materials required for electric vehicles, renewable energy infrastructure, and high-tech manufacturing.
Under the primary scope of work, TAPC will deploy its proprietary gas-handling and scrubbing technology to capture, neutralise, and remove complex process emissions generated during mineral processing.
The system is engineered to ensure the facility meets stringent international environmental standards and aligns with the project’s rigorous ESG objectives.
EGL CEO Jason Dixon highlighted that the contract reinforces the technical capability of the Clean Air division and reflects strong momentum with leading global customers.
Construction is slated to commence in April, with an anticipated duration of 12 months.
At the time of reporting, Environmental Group’s share price was $0.20.
