The Zilliqa blockchain ecosystem is currently facing a technical issue that has caused significant disruption to its network, leading to a halving of daily transactions, from an average of 61,000 to just over 30,906.
As a result, all activity on the $383 million blockchain network has been paused, with the last transaction.
The exact nature of the technical problem is not specified, but it has apparently impacted block production, effectively ceasing any new block creation.
The issue is being actively resolved, according to Zilliqa CEO Matt Dyer.
