Finding a rental is hard enough in the current environment of Australia?s rental market.

Let alone finding a rental with enough space to work from home AND featuring a backyard pool.

But an increasing number of Aussies are willing to pay more for such luxuries in this day and age.

With the pandemic forcing up to 40% of workers and companies to experiment working from home, the increase in rental prices has surged as much as 66% for some suburbs in Perth.

Perth has also overtaken Melbourne for average capital city asking rental rate, while Canberra tops the charts at an average of $735 per week.

While there are just 57,558 rental properties available Australia-wide at present, prospective tenants might want to reconsider whether a roof over their head, or the luxury of a pool is more important when searching for a home.
