    Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY) appoints Carl Eschenbach as new CEO

    Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY), a prominent provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, announced today the appointment of Carl Eschenbach as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from February 1, 2024.

    Previously named as co-CEO with Aneel Bhusri, Workday’s co-founder and chair, in December 2022, Eschenbach now steps into the sole CEO role.

    Aneel Bhusri, who has been a pivotal figure in the company since its inception, will continue to play a significant role as the co-founder and executive chair of the Workday Board of Directors.

    In this capacity, Bhusri will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO. His focus will be on guiding Eschenbach and the executive team in formulating strategic plans and growth initiatives that resonate with Workday's core mission, vision, and values.
