Widgie Nickel (ASX:WIN) has announced its maiden JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate for its Faraday lithium project near Widgiemooltha in Western Australia, above a natural cut-off grade of 0.30% lithium oxide.
Widgie Nickel says the Estimate is 481,000t @ 0.59% Li2O in the Southern Starter Pit location to a maximum depth of 65m.
It also highlighted a high-grade core of 106,000t @ 0.87 Li2O defined (at 0.80% Li2O cut-off).
Widgie Nickel says its fast-tracked starting the DSO starter pit design for Faraday, which is a potential low-cost mining operation with minimal strip ratio due to shallow outcropping resource.
