World leading art and luxury auction house, Christie?s, has launched their very own investment fund aimed at helping new Web3 companies and ?art-related financial products and solutions?.

The in-house investing firm will be called Christie?s Ventures and they?ll pretty much be funding new companies that use tech to help collectors buy and sell more art, especially if it?s digital.

The fund?s first investment will be in LayerZero Labs, which develops solutions for multi-chain interoperability for decentralised apps. Or in simpleton language, they make it easier for different blockchains to talk to each other.

This isn?t Christie?s? first rodeo though as they hosted the auction for Mike Winkelmann, better known as ?Beeple?, selling his NFT art for US$69 million.
