Westlake Corporation (NYSE:WLK), as part of the U.S. Epoxy Resin Producers Ad Hoc Coalition, is calling upon federal agencies to scrutinize the import practices of certain epoxy resins that may be affecting domestic markets.

The group has officially lodged requests with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission for the initiation of antidumping probes targeting imports from five countries: China, India, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.

The petitions extend to countervailing duty inquiries concerning imports from all the aforementioned nations, except Thailand.

This action represents a proactive measure by the coalition and Westlake to confront what they perceive as unjust competitive pressures from international suppliers.
