Vulcan Energy Resources completed an environmental and social impact assessment for Phase 1 of its Zero Carbon Lithium Project.
The assessment is a prerequisite for securing sustainable or "green" debt finance and serves as third-party validation of the project's sustainability credentials.
The project combines renewable energy and lithium to meet Europe's battery electric vehicle needs, generate renewable energy for local communities, and create jobs.
The ESIA report found multiple positive impacts of the project, including providing renewable heating for local communities, carbon neutral lithium production, and job creation.
