Vital Metals is focusing on its Nechalacho light rare earth element asset in the Northwest Territories, Canada, aiming to demonstrate the economic potential of a larger-scale production centre in 2024.

The firm intends to complete its updated Tardiff mineral resource estimate by the first quarter and release the remaining results from its 2023 exploration drilling in early 2024.

The 2024 exploration drilling will focus on expanding shallow high-grade rare earth mineralisation and testing undrilled lithium-bearing pegmatites.

Vital expects to complete the Tardiff scoping study by the fourth quarter.
