Investment platform VentureCrowd is hoping to raise $14.5M via convertible notes from wholesale investors for technological and geographical expansion.
VentureCrowd focusses on equity crowdfunding, which is an alternative way for startups to raise capital, allowing for larger amounts of money by selling shares in a company to a group of investors.
The company, which has 70,000 members investing in impactful opportunities, has already secured more than $6M, and has a minimum target of $8.5M.
VentureCrowd's CEO, Steve Maarbani, said the group wants to expand into Singapore for the South East Asian market, as well as implement a blockchain-based tech solution in the business.
