    Nanollose (ASX:NC6) sends 110kg of Nufolium-20 fibre to Glatfelter for wet wipes testing

    Leading biomaterials company Nanollose announced the shipment of a 110kg batch of its Nufolium-20 fibre to Glatfelter, for conversion into nonwoven fabric samples for Codi Group.

    The fibres will be utilised in the development and testing of wet wipes under Nanollose's research and development cooperation agreement with Codi Group.

    The shipment to Glatfelter marks a significant step in Nanollose's commercial strategy for Nufolium fibre.

    Codi Group, a global manufacturer and distributor of wet wipes, will conduct the product testing.

    The collaborative initiative aims to develop wipe products using Nanollose's Tree-Free and Forest-Friendly fibres made from microbial cellulose.

    Executive Chairman Wayne Best commented, "The successful shipment of our 110kg batch Nufolium-20 fibres marks the ongoing execution of our long-term development strategy for this technology, in collaboration with our international manufacturing partners."

    Produced from Nanollose's third pilot production run, the Nufolium-20 fibre shipment is an important milestone toward accessing the global market for nonwoven applications.

    The first batch of Nufolium-20 fibres was produced alongside 430kg of Nullarbor-20 fibre, highlighting the company's continued advancements in eco-friendly materials.

    The global wet wipes market was valued at US$27.07 billion ($40.20 billion) in 2022 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 3.8% from 2023 to 2030.

    The market presents a lucrative opportunity for Nanollose's innovative fibres, further supporting their commitment to sustainable and forest-friendly solutions.

    Nanollose is a biomaterials company engaged in commercialising scalable technology to create fibers, fabrics, and other novel materials with minimal environmental impact.
