Trinex Minerals disclosed progress in its winter 2024 diamond drilling program at the Gibbons Creek Uranium Project near Stony Rapids in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Four of five holes drilled intersected uranium mineralisation, with peak radioactivity levels exceeding 8,660 counts per second in hole GC24-04, indicating high-grade uranium presence.
Preliminary findings from hand-held scintillometer readings, downhole gamma probe results, and visual observation suggest proximity to a mineralised uranium system, with assay results expected by mid-May.
Trinex Minerals plans to continue exploration over the Canadian summer, focusing on the Airstrip prospect and extending to the Butler Lake target.
