The Australian market returned to the red on Friday, closing the session 0.57% lower at 7110.80 points as a more than 4% sell-off in tech stocks weighed down the key index. For the week, the ASX gained 1.61%.

Starpharma shares fell almost 2.8% today after the pharmaceutical company released a response to The Age?s story on Starpharma?s Viraleze nasal spray, confirming it has submitted an application to the TGA in Australia for Viraleze to be sold in the country as a medical device.
Resolute Mining shares rallied today after the gold miner announced its annual ore reserve and mineral resource statement including mineral resources have increased by 1 million ounces to 9.5 million ounces of gold while ore reserves were maintained at 4.1 million ounces.
And travel stocks took a hit today as investors fear the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine may impact the recovery of the travel industry. Qantas fell more than 3%, Webjet shed 2.7% and Flight Centre lost 2%.
