The Australian market extended its green run into Thursday, closing the session 1.10% higher at 7130.80 points again due to a surge in tech stocks.

Myer, as shares in the department store giant rocketed 24.4% today following the release of the company?s first half results including paying a dividend for the first time in five-years. For the half, Myer?s total sales grew 8.5% and net cash rose 16 million dollars.
Travel shares lifted today as the price of oil slipped overnight, easing investor concerns of higher fuel costs for airlines which would threaten to disrupt the recovery of the industry post pandemic. Flight Centre rose 6.6%, while Webjet and Qantas each added 5.8%.
And Woodside shares dipped 4.7% today following a pull back in the price of oil overnight as the UAE and Iraq indicated they could increase their oil production to offset global supply concerns resulting from Russia?s invasion of Ukraine.
