    The Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) announces change in substantial shareholding

    The Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) has announced State Street Corporation and its subsidiaries increased their interests in Stars' ordinary shares from 60,349,082 to 71,116,896, which represents 7.47% of the voting power in the Company.

    Stars' Constitution, as well as certain agreements with Liquor and Gaming New South Wales and the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, include restrictions prohibiting an individual from having a voting power of more than 10% in the Company.

    The Company may refuse to register any transfer of shares which would contravene these shareholding restrictions or require divestiture of the shares that cause an individual to exceed the shareholding restrictions.
