    The ASX200 rallies; Propell skyrocketed on Square deal; Starpharma rallies on a new Italian deal

    The Australian market is trading 0.80% higher today at 7314.70 with every sector trading in positive territory, led by a surge in metals and mining stocks. The rally follows a strong session on Wall St overnight and a spike in the price of oil.

    The tech sector is trading more than 1% higher today as strong gains for Afterpay, Iress, Nearmap and Computershare offset EML Payments? more than 13% loss.

    Bitcoin is trading 2.03% lower over the last 24-hours at US$53,955.01 at 1:30pm AEDT.

    Leading SME focused fintech company, Propell, is soaring 42% today after announcing a partnership with global payments company Square. Under the deal, Square will integrate its payments services into Propell?s platform for an initial period of two-years which converts to automatic renewal from thereon.

    Making headlines, Starpharma is rallying today after announcing a new sales and distribution agreement for its Viraleze product with Admenta Italia Group, one of Italy?s leading pharmaceutical retail and wholesale distribution companies. Under the deal, Starpharma?s Viraleze product will be distributed and sold through Admenta?s 260 pharmacies.

    And Facebook has announced a new US$10m ?Creator Fund? in a bid to encourage people to build and develop experiences on its Horizon VR platform.
