Accenture (NYSE:ACN) today announced a strong start to its fiscal year 2025, reporting significant first-quarter revenue growth and raising its full-year revenue forecast.
The global professional services company reported revenues of $17.7 billion for the first quarter, a 9% increase year-over-year.
This growth was driven by strong performance in both Consulting revenues, which reached $9 billion, and Managed Services revenues, which totalled $8.6 billion.
Net income also saw a substantial increase, rising to $2.32 billion from $2 billion in the same period last year.
During the period under review, the company's earnings per share (EPS) on a GAAP basis reached $3.59, a 16% increase year-over-year and a 10% increase over adjusted EPS from the first quarter of fiscal 2024.
New bookings for the quarter totalled $18.7 billion, a 1% increase, including $1.2 billion in new bookings related to generative AI.
Based on this strong performance, Accenture has revised its fiscal 2025 revenue growth projection to between 4% and 7%, up from the previously forecasted range of 3% to 6%.
In addition to the strong financial results, Accenture announced a quarterly cash dividend of $1.48 per share, a 15% increase from the previous year.
