Super Group (NYSE:SGHC), the parent company of Betway and Spin, has announced plans to exit its sportsbook operations in the United States following an extensive internal review.

The company will begin the process of closing its sportsbook operations across the nine states where it is currently active.

Despite the sportsbook exit, Super Group will continue to operate and expand its iGaming services, planning to run two of its Spin portfolio brands, including Jackpot City, in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Details regarding the financial impact of this closure will be discussed in the upcoming quarterly earnings call in early August, where management will outline the expected costs and charges related to the sportsbook shutdown.
