    Sonic Healthcare?s (ASX:SHL) record year of earnings on coronavirus testing

    Sonic Healthcare Limited has reported a 11.1% rise in net profit to $1.46 billion.

    The medical diagnostic services company said the 6.7% increase in revenue was driven by Covid testing, base business growth and acquisitions.

    ?It remains difficult to predict future revenues from Covid-19 testing, however we do expect ongoing demand, coupled with seasonally weighted increased testing for other respiratory viruses?, said CEO Dr Colin Goldschmidt.

    Shares in Sonic Healthcare rose 4.07% in morning trade.
