The Solana Foundation has expelled several validators from its delegation program due to their involvement in sandwich attacks, as announced by Validator Relations Lead Tim Garcia on Discord.

These attacks, which exploit transaction ordering for profit, have been explicitly prohibited since May 2024.

Validators found engaging in such malicious activities lose their SOL (CRYPTO:SOL) token subsidies but can still operate on the network.

The foundation's move aims to protect retail users and uphold network integrity by discouraging exploitative practices.

This action is part of a broader effort to combat Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) issues on Solana, ensuring a fair and trustworthy environment for all users.
