Seven Group Holdings posted a 14.4% increase in net profit after tax to $577.3 million in FY22 but its statutory NPAT fell 4.3% to $607.4 million due to Boral and Seven West Media transaction costs.

The company said the result is due to growth in the mining, infrastructure, energy and media sectors with the group?s underlying earnings before tax from continuing operations soaring almost 25 per cent to $987.1 million.

?The group is positioned to capitalise on widely expected growth in the mining production, infrastructure investment and energy sectors in FY23, with leading positions in each industry and clear momentum demonstrated in FY22?, said Chief Executive Ryan Stokes.

Shares in the diversified investment holdings group were up 1.58% following the announcement.
