Advertised salaries on SEEK (ASX:SEK) in Australia have risen by 4.4% in the year to January 2023.

SEEK says this relatively fast advertised salary growth is slightly lower than the year to December 2022 (4.6%).

It also says month-on-month growth in the SEEK Advertised Salary Index (ASI) has fallen for two consecutive months.

SEEK's Senior Economist, Matt Cowgill says: "This moderation in advertised salary growth echoes some other labour market indicators, such as the unemployment rate and job ad volumes. However, the labour market is still very tight, just not as tight as it was a few months ago."
