The Russian Government is considering allowing crypto miners to sell their cryptocurrency as a commodity akin to exports like gas.

The potential move was disclosed by Ivan Chebeskov, the deputy minister of finance, who said it was part of a bill to legalise cryptocurrency mining introduced in 2022.

This would let miners deal in cryptocurrency exports under the same rules and regulations as traditional commodity exports.
