Ripple's Chief Technical Officer, David Schwartz, has urged XRP Ledger validators to back the automated market maker (AMM) feature. He emphasized the need for community consensus before implementation.

In his initial statement, Schwartz referred to AMMs as a fascinating aspect of decentralized finance.

When asked about the timeline for launching AMMs on the XRPL after governance voting, Schwartz mentioned that if the majority supports the amendment, the changes could be implemented in as little as two weeks.

The XRP Ledger is a decentralised blockchain with XRP as its native asset. Renowned for its speed and scalability, it is well-suited for various financial applications, including cross-border payments and remittances.
