Australia-based Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) has completed four reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled with one diamond tail at the high-priority Valley copper target.

The Valley is 34km west of the Northparkes Copper Gold mine which is operated by China Molybdenum and has a total Measured and Indicated Resources of 365Mt @ 0.55% copper, 0.20g/t gold.

Rimfire Pacific Mining says it found visible sulphides in two of the holes drilled while continuing with the programme.

It also says the findings come at a time when copper demand is increasing following commitments by governments towards green energy targets.
