Neobank Revolut will suspend cryptocurrency purchases on its UK business platform in early 2024, as per a media report.
Customers were notified via email that only purchasing activities were to be halted, implying that holding and selling operations could continue.
The suspension aligns with new rules from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to be introduced on 8 January 2024.
The rules, described by the FCA as 'tough', aim to put crypto advertising on par with similar high-risk investment products.
Many firms have been impacted by these forthcoming regulations.
