Resources & Energy Group announced the first gold pour from its East Menzies Gold Project this quarter.

The company and its partner, Lamington Minerals, submitted a mining proposal to the Western Australian Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

The proposal includes a vat leach program for gold extracted from the Maranoa strike, a shallow, high-grade target.

The initial campaign aims to process 5,000 tonnes of ore with a diluted grade of approximately 4.6 grams per tonne of gold.

The project is part of a larger plan to develop additional resources at Maranoa and Goodenough, totalling 51,000 ounces of gold.
