Regional Express Holdings (Rex Airlines) has signed a Letter of Intent to lease two Boeing 737-800NG jets, which are expected to arrive in Australia in June and July of 2023.

Rex says it will bring the total of its fleet of Boeing 737-800NGs to nine.

The Deputy Chairman of Rex, Hon John Sharp AM, says its domestic jet services have been very profitable in the past four months, and the additional aircraft will help alleviate the need for reliable and affordable services.

Rex is Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline and comprises several wholly owned subsidiaries, as well as a 50% stake in National Jet Express.
